Moving forward on our Sacaton project

Moving forward on our Sacaton project

Ramm Power Group spent 2019 working on development plans and talking to investors. On January 15, 2020, we submitted the notice of intent (NOI) and pre-application document (PAD) with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for our Sacaton project using the Commission’s Traditional Licensing Process (TLP). We’ve also sourced funding to construct our Pumped Storage Hydro (PSH) power storage facility on the retired Asarco copper mine site near Casa Grande, Arizona just south of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Note: Section 21, 16 U.S.C. § 814 (2012) provides Ramm Power Group a unique opportunity to acquire the requisite land required to build the Sacaton Pumped Hydro Storage facility.  Therefore, any considerations for utilizing the Sacaton project for other commercial opportunities will be secondary to those of Ramm once a Federal Energy Regulatory License is granted.

Dr. Michael Werner, chief executive officer of Ramm: “Turning the closed Sacaton mine site into a long life and reliable green energy storage project is a win for all renewable energy producers, consumers, local communities and stakeholders.”

Copies of the filings can be found on the Ramm website (www.rammpowergroup) or on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission website (https://www.ferc.gov).
